Corrective Lenses

After determining your refractive error, your eye doctor works with you to determine whether contact lenses or glasses are best for your lifestyle. Contact lenses are available in soft or rigid gas permeable form. Soft contact lenses need to be changed daily, weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly, depending on what type of lens best works for you. Rigid gas permeable lenses typically need to be replaced every one or two years. Specialized contact lenses are also available for patients with special eye conditions.
